Calibrating your bat can only take place inside of a hitting drill. One you’ve selected a drill, you will be prompted to choose your hitting equipment.

Controller Only

  1. Select Controller Only mode and then select your pitcher. The rest of the calibration will take place on the virtual field. NOTE: You can recalibrate your bat by pushing the virtual bat through the Calibration icon at home plate.
  2. Once on-field, you’ll be able to change which controller the virtual bat is paired to. By default the experience uses the left controller. To switch controllers, bring the controller NOT currently paired with the bat into the grip of the virtual bat until it lights up blue. Then press the trigger on the controller YOU WANT paired to the bat. The virtual bat will switch controllers.
  3. To establish the length of your bat, move your free controller to be flush with the base of your paired controller. The grey ball at the base of the virtual bat will light up blue. Press and hold the trigger until the ball lights up orange and then release the trigger. This confirms the base of your bat.
  4. To set the length of the bat, move your free controller to the gray ball at the top of the virtual bat until it lights up blue. Press and hold the trigger until the ball turns orange. Move the controller (with the trigger held down) up or down to set the desired length. Release the trigger to confirm your bat length.

With Bat Attachment

  1. Select Bat Attachment mode and then select your pitcher. The rest of the calibration will take place on the virtual field. NOTE: You can recalibrate your bat by pushing the virtual bat through the Calibration icon at home plate.

  2. Once on-field, you’ll see an outline of the bat. To establish the length of your bat, move your free controller to be flush with the knob of your bat. The grey ball at the base of the virtual bat will light up blue. Press and hold the trigger until the ball lights up orange and then release the trigger. This confirms the location of the knob of your bat.
  3. To set the length of the bat, move your free controller to the gray ball at the top of the virtual bat until it lights up blue. Press and hold the trigger until the ball turns orange. Move the controller (with the trigger held down) up or down to meet the top of your actual bat. Release the trigger to confirm your bat length.
  4. When you’re done calibrating your bat length in VR, place the free controller away from your feet.

Warning: Before each training session and after 30 minutes of continued use, check the short bat collar and side clamp to make sure they are tight. Failure to properly secure the controller could result in damage to the controller and items in your training environment.

  1. Loosen the collar at the top of the bat and insert the left controller. Make sure the controller strap feeds through the hole just below the collar.
  2. Push the left controller down until the side button is fully depressed
  3. Screw down the collar until it is fully tightened and can no longer turn. We recommend having an adult assist with this step.
  4. Secure the controller strap with the short bat side clamp. Screw it down until it is fully tight.
