The Skill

Why Power Is The Final Step

Power is not about swinging harder.

It’s about swinging at YOUR pitch with controlled aggression, beating the ball to the spot, and matching the plane of the pitch with your path.

Hitters get into good counts, see a pitch they can handle, and miss it. Not because they lack strength, but because they didn’t attack it with conviction.

The Power Training Track trains exactly that. When hitters swing with intent and find their pitch, they turn mistakes into wins at the plate.

Barrel Control And The Ability To Manipulate Contact Point

Learn to control where they meet the ball, so they can drive pitches on purpose instead of hoping for good contact.

Swinging With Intent In Hitters' Counts

Train to recognize an advantage count and commit fully, so they stop settling for weak contact on pitches they should punish.

Driving The Ball To All Fields

Learn to stay through the ball rather than selling out to pull, so they can do damage no matter where the pitch is located.

Turning Hittable Pitches Into Hard Contact

Train to identify a mistake in the zone and convert it into extra bases instead of just putting it in play.

THE Program

5 Rounds. One Progression.

Every round builds on the last. Timing first, handling pitches second, damage last.

01

Power Starts Before Contact

Focus on delivering the barrel with authority through the zone, not just touching the ball, but impacting it.

02

Good Hitters Don’t Miss Mistakes

Train barrel accuracy on pitches you should drive: middle, middle-up, advantage counts.

03

True Power Covers the Field

Train to drive the ball with intent to all fields, staying through contact without collapsing or spinning off.

04

Don’t Waste Good Counts

Focus on attacking hitter’s counts with intent, recognizing when to be aggressive and delivering the barrel with confidence.

05

Power Shows Up in Big Moments

Challenge yourself to maintain intent under pressure. Stay connected, on time, and aggressive when it counts.

SESSION 1

SESSION 2

Competition

Take what you built in your workouts and put your new skills to the test. Compete against other WIN athletes, teammates, and friends in Exhibition Mode

WHO IT’S FOR

Every Level Benefits.

The Challenge Just Scales.

Power isn’t about swinging harder. It’s about squaring the ball up with intent. This track meets you where you are.

8U – 11U
Balance

At this level, power training is about clean contact and learning to hit the ball hard without losing balance. The focus isn’t home runs. It’s building the confidence and aggression to swing with intent.

12U – 15U
Attack The Whole Field

As hitters grow stronger and face better pitching, power becomes about manipulating contact point and using the whole field, not selling out for pull-side homers.

16U – College
Game Power

At the highest level, power training mirrors game competition. Hitters who combine early recognition, good timing, and controlled aggression become dangerous in every count.

YOUR COACH

Meet Andrew Don

Andrew Don is WIN Reality’s Hitting Director — and the architect behind every Core Training Track. His career has been built on diagnosing why hitters fail. The answer almost never starts with the swing.

"When you get your pitch, don't miss it."
-Andrew Don, WIN Reality Hitting Director

His three-track progression — Vision first, Timing second, Power follows — isn’t just a curriculum structure. It’s how complete hitters are built. Every program in the Core Track reflects that philosophy. Every rep inside them is intentional.

Andrew built these tracks to fix the problem most coaches never address. Before mechanics matter. Before power shows up. A hitter has to see the ball and trust what their eyes tell them.

THE PROGRESSION

Power Is the Finisher.

Find it. Then barrel it. Then send it.

The Bridge

Next up: training rhythm, sequencing, and the ability to be on time for every pitch. Timing is what connects seeing it to doing something with it.
